FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Recovery Boot Camp has implemented an innovative long-term drug and alcohol treatment program, now accredited by The Joint Commission, in response to the growing opioid and heroin epidemic. South Florida is at the epicenter of the nation’s overdose crisis; Recovery Boot Camp provides an effective program in response to the present crisis.
Delray Beach, FL. – May 23, 2017 An epidemic of overdose is occurring and it is estimated to have taken at least 900 lives last year within the local Palm Beach County community. Approximately two percent of the United States population is experiencing opioid addiction requiring substance abuse treatment. The drug overdose death rates continue to rise and it is estimated that approximately six out of every ten overdoses include opioids. Several states have found blame in the increased usage of heroin to include synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. Fentanyl is up to one hundred times more potent than heroin according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This problematic and alarming as substance users are often unaware that heroin is laced with fentanyl therefore unknowingly these individuals are using lethal doses.
Recovery Boot Camp has witnessed a grave need within the Delray Beach community to provide longer-term care as individuals are dropping into oblivion due to them not understanding the importance of a12-step emersion program and the power of their drug addiction. A Surgeon General’s report reveals that evidence, derived from multiple controlled trials and large-scale population studies, has demonstrated an effectiveness of 12-step mutual aid groups and 12-step facilitation interventions. In line with this recommendation, Recovery Boot Camp is helping set the groundwork for innovative treatment. Recovery Boot Camp’s treatment model is distinct as it is a long-term step down model that is gender specific for men. Recovery Boot Camp utilizes evidenced based clinical interventions coupled with case management services, life skills training, and Recovery Dynamics. Recovery Boot Camp is one of the few Recovery Dynamics certified facilities in the United States. Recovery Dynamics is a psycho-educational program that has proven to be successful for thousands of Alumni as it is heavily rooted in a 12-step program.
Recovery Boot Camp is further pleased to announce that it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. “Joint Commission accreditation provides behavioral health care organizations with the processes needed to improve in a variety of areas related to the care of individuals and their families,” said Julia Finken, RN, BSN, MBA, CSSBB, CPHQ, executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program, The Joint Commission. “We commend Recovery Boot Camp for its efforts to elevate the standard of care it provides and to instill confidence in the community it serves.”
