2018 was a very good year. How do we know? Because last year's most popular Google Search wasn't about scandal or war or gossip or politics. It was about good. Doing good. Being good. Good news. Good people. Here's hoping all that good makes for a Happy 2019!
Searching for Good
Google Trends reflects everyday search queries, as well as the moments, people, ideas, and questions that make each year so unique. And 2018's search queries veered heavily toward good. In fact, more people searched for good in 2018 than ever before. We searched for how to register to vote. And we searched for how to be a good role model. We also searched for how to be a good citizen, how to be a good dancer, how to be a good kisser and how to be a good friend. And yes, we searched for good news of championships, medal counts and royal weddings.
Google's Year in Search highlights all the ways people continued to search for "good" this year and it was spectacular. We particularly like four year-old superhero Austin Perine, whose #ShowLove message should be heeded by everyone on the planet. So without further ado, here’s to all the good that people discovered in 2018. And a Very Happy 2019!
A Very Good Year
2018 was a also very good year for us at Recovery Boot Camp. In fact, if you add up all the good that came about over the last 365 days, it was arguably our best year ever. More men got sober. More families were reunited. And more lives were saved than ever before. People were given a chance to do good, as well as to be good. And they stepped up to the opportunity in record numbers. And with gusto to boot. If all the good that came about in 2018 is any indication, 2019 will be even better. And we can't wait.
Happy 2019 everybody!
